About Pewsey Vale Bowls Club   On the green at PewseyThe club was first formed in 1923 with just three rinks, situated behind the Greyhound Public House in the centre of the village. This is why a greyhound is the emblem of our club.

In 1953 we moved to the present site which gives us six rinks and a private clubhouse, with a fully licensed bar. There are ample car parking facilities alongside the green.

We are a mixed club with 40 men and 20 lady members plus a few social members. We are affiliated to Bowls England and Bowls Wiltshire, and are members of the Salisbury and District Association. The men's section play in both the Salisbury & District triples league and the Wiltshire four rink league. The Ladies section plays in the Salisbury and District Triples league. Regular mixed friendly matches are also played against local clubs.

A men's match in progressWe welcome members of all ages and if you don't want to play competitively Social Bowlers are just as welcome, as during the season we have informal Club Evenings on a Tuesday starting at 6:15pm and Club Afternoons on a Friday starting at 2pm.

Competitions There are numerous club knockout competitions for members during the season, including fun competitions on the bank holidays. We hold a special competition open to all clubs on the first Sunday of the Pewsey Carnival fortnight, early in September.

Join us.. The club's season is from 1st May to 30th September, and we welcome new members at any time. Coaching is available for beginners and, initially, equipment is provided for their use by the club.

Membership subscription is £65.00 per year (£30.00 for Juniors), payable 1st May.

As a member you can private hire the use of the Club House and bar and throughout the year we also hold regular social events for members and their guests.
The club is situated in Pewsey, a village in the middle of Wiltshire 7 miles south of Marlborough on the A345.

Clubs on tour are welcome with tea provided after the game if required. There are many good reasonably priced hotels within easy distance of the club.
