About Pewsey Vale Bowls Club
The club was first formed in 1923
with just three rinks, situated behind the Greyhound Public House in the centre
of the village. This is why a greyhound is the emblem of our club. In 1953 we
moved to the present site which gives us six rinks and a private clubhouse,
with a fully licensed bar. There are ample car parking facilities alongside the
green.
We are a mixed club with 40 men and 25 lady members plus a few
social members. We are affiliated to the English Bowling Association, English
Womens Bowling Association, Wiltshire Bowling Association and are members of
the Salisbury and District Association.
Enquires are welcome from
visiting/touring clubs about friendly matches - please contact the Match
Secretary.
The men's section plays in the Wiltshire Rink league and the
Salisbury and District Triples league. The Ladies section plays in the
Salisbury and District Triples league. Regular mixed friendly matches are also
played against local clubs.
